Objectives of ILR

•Students will learn to use the USC Norris Medical Library web site to locate research articles for use in their own research.
•Students will select a disease to research and construct a research paper and presentation about the chosen disease.
•Students will listen to speaker’s present valuable information about health careers.
•Students will have a working knowledge of the job titles and academic requirements of at lease 3 health professionals in the area where they are placed.
•Students will have a working knowledge of some of the task required in the area of their job placement.
•Students will network with at least two people from their assigned area that they may possible contact to organize future volunteer opportunities at their perspective work locations.
•Students will write a 3 page summer impact paper discussing the value of their summer experience.
•Students will receive weekly evaluations to track the development of good work habits.Network with other Med-COR students
